Maverick Games is an independent video game studio founded in 2022 based in Warwick, UK. The studio is guided by four core values: Be Inspired, Be Creative, Be Innovative, Be a Maverick.
Developer-first by design, Maverick Games was built on a clear belief: iconic games are created by individuals who are trusted, inspired, and empowered to take bold risks. The team has fostered an environment where world-class talent is encouraged to be curious, creative, daring – and above all, authentic. Maverick Games doesn’t follow the rules – it sets new ones.
The studio is currently developing its debut title, a AAA narrative-led, open-world driving game, proudly published by Amazon Games.
Maverick Games has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work in Games in both 2023 and 2024, and received the Best Newcomer award at the 2024 MCV/Develop Awards.
As a reflection of the studio’s deep-rooted car culture, Last year the entire Maverick team set off for the #Maverick1K – a 1000-mile road trip from Warwick to the south of France, undertaken by the team to celebrate their shared love of driving, adventure, and exploration.
The team will be appearing at Interactive Futures 2025, where they’ll share insights from the road less travelled.

Playground Games was established in 2010, bringing together some of the most experienced and talented developers from the UK industry, with the vision to create genre-defining titles for a global audience. Since then, we’ve created five critically-acclaimed, award-winning hits; our Horizon games have garnered more than one hundred awards and have been played by many millions of fans.
Today, Playground has three world-class studios in Leamington Spa. In our original HQ, we continue to support and grow the huge, vibrant Horizon community. In our two new studios on the other side of town, we are excited to be developing Fable, a new beginning for the legendary franchise.
Rebellion is one of the world’s most successful independent video games studios but there’s more to us than just games as we also produce books, comics, TV, film, board games and more.
We make great games such as the genre-defining Sniper Elite series and Zombie Army, and publish iconic comics including Roy of the Rovers and 2000 AD featuring Judge Dredd.
Founded back in 1992 by brothers Jason and Chris Kingsley, Rebellion has grown a reputation for producing high quality products that thrill and delight gamers, readers, viewers and fans around the world.
Over the decades we’ve worked on multiple amazing projects including the likes of Aliens vs Predator and Star Wars Battlefront but since 2010 we’ve been working, pretty much exclusively, on developing and publishing our own titles and IP.

Government-funded, industry-focused, human-led training for the games, screen and creative industries
We love the creative industries. They play a massive role in shaping the world we live in. They offer careers full of purpose, passion and self-expression. They contribute to economic growth and jobs. They bring people together, enrich culture and light up our lives.
Skilled, committed and diverse talent are what makes the creative industries thrive – yet creative education and training could be so much better. From those looking to break into the industry, to those struggling to keep up with the latest creative tech, to accidental managers who find themselves leading creativity without proper support, to freelancers who are isolated and overwhelmed, training is critical but all too often, expensive, inflexible and not current.
We’ve made it our mission at Mastered for over a decade to fix this and create the skills training – for programmers, artists, producers, creators, makers, leaders and managers – that the creative industry deserves.
