Alex Darby – Technical & Design Director, darbotron

Alex has lived and made games in Leamington as a programmer, designer, educator, and company director for almost 3 decades; he is also is a member of BAFTA, a BAFTA winner, and was a co-creator of the DJ Hero franchise.
Alex’s career started at Codemasters in 1996; he has since helped to found several local companies including FreeStyleGames (which eventually became Ubisoft Leamington); and is now owner and director of micro studio darbotron ltd which specialises in console development, made-to-measure programming and design consultancy, and also licenses its console porting middleware technology to other studios.
